Q: Does your company have valid insurance for your employees?
A: Yes, valid insurance for every employee is mandatory to ensure that if an accident occurs, we cover any necessary medical care for our employee(s) and/or any damage to your property. Our policy covers $1 -$2 million.
Q: Do you provide a warranty on your repair and new construction projects?
A: Yes, we offer you a one-year warranty on all repair work and a two (2) to ten (10) year warranty on all new building projects depending on the scope of the project.
Q: Is Dawkins Development Group, Inc. a local based company?
A: Yes, we are a local company which brings comfort to our clients. They know that we are fully involved in the community and will always respond promptly should any future problems arise with their project. We advise that people be aware of “storm chasing” companies that are only in town for short periods of time and then disappear.
Q: What happens if it starts to rain unexpectedly while you are working on your roofing projects?
A: Our Project Manager will always have a laptop on your job site to track the weather forecast, but in the event of an emergency, we always carry tarps to cover the roof which protects against interior water damage to your ceilings.
Q: Will Dawkins Development Group, Inc. ever add a second/new layer of shingles to my house without removal of the old shingles?
A: No, we never roof over old shingles. Sometimes people try to save money by not removing the old layer of shingles but this is a mistake which can become very costly in the end by causing mold in between the two (2) layers and/or adding to much weight to the foundation of your home. It is also important to remove the old layer of shingles to check for plywood damage.
Q: How do I know if it is time to have my roof replaced?
A: You should have your roof replaced every fifteen (15) years. It is recommended that you have it inspected by a professional at this time and not wait until you have water damage to any walls, ceilings, or decks.
Q: How long does it take to complete a building project?
A: Our time schedule for your project will be contingent upon the size of your home and your building requests.
Q: How long do I have to file a claim with my insurance company due to hail/storm or fire damage?
A: It depends on your insurance company. However, we do recommend that you file a claim as soon as possible to avoid any further damage to your home that may be deemed out of pocket due to late filing.
Q: Why does your website not give a more detailed list of materials and the process needed to complete a project?
A: Each project requires different materials and a completely different process to suit the needs of our client. We take the time to meet with everyone individually to devise a plan that will meet their expectations, style, and budget. Each project requires a different time frame and different materials/process.
